On Wednesday, I was sharing at a home Bible study about the Sabbath and how God gave it as a gift to bless His people. Then this thought came to me: We should not let our lips ask for a blessing while our lives are asking for a curse.
If we are breaking the Sabbath while asking God to bless our lives, which is speaking louder—our words or our choices?
“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” — Proverbs 28:9
God gave the Sabbath as a gift and a blessing. I want my words and my life to agree as I ask Him to bless me.
